Container Pop Up Shop Superdry

Our client, working on behalf of internationally known Superdry, needed two shipping containers, to create suitable retail units to capitalise on the fast growing trend of the container pop up shop. These units needed to be easily transported to and from different pop up locations world wide and so original ISO containers were required to fulfill the brief.

Our client selected Full Side Access containers for the design. These units are the perfect starting point for a container pop up shop as the whole side opens up, with the doors folding back on themselves, to allow full access into the unit. For this conversion, the standard end doors on the short side were not required, so we removed them and replaced them with a new corrugated panel which was fully seam welded. Other steel work carried out included welding steel frames to the ceiling for the customer to be able to hang clothes being sold. These brackets were also used on the doors for additional space for clothing. The final piece of work carried out was to add stud plates on the top of the container for the customer to later bolt on the famous Superdry logo. These plates were custom built to enable the customer to remove the sign each time for transport.

Following in the trend of pop up shops, we have also created pop up bars, cafes, even a catwalk and theatre stage! A shipping container provides the ideal structure to be transformed into a boutique style retail space, entertainment or exhibition area, or fast food and drink outlet, to take your store on the road and capitalise on trade at festivals, seasonal markets and events – also suitable as a permanent fixture in locations unsuitable for traditional buildings.
