Introducing the StudyBox – the Shipping Container Classroom

Containers Direct have come up with a brand new design of shipping container classrooms which can be used as a temporary solution to allow for maximum capacity based on the 1m distancing rule, or as a permanent fixture for additional learning space.

Repurposed shipping containers are a unique and eco friendly way to gain much sort after expansion within your school, and also provide cost effective and fast provision for classrooms during times of building works. With the Prime Minister’s recent announcement of a transformative school rebuilding programme, schools will require temporary classrooms to cope with this, and the StudyBox shipping container classroom is already set up to give you everything you need from a classroom.

Making shipping container classrooms

We offer four sizes and the option to choose used or new shipping containers as the building blocks of your classroom. Shipping containers are only 8ft wide, so while they make excellent materials for conversion into offices and classrooms from the aspect of strength, security, flexibillity and value for money, providing enough space can be an issue. However, Containers Direct have pioneered an innovative system of joining up shipping containers to give extra wide spaces to suit most requirements. The unique joining up system was designed in 2018 by Containers Direct with the assistance of a grant from the Government Research & Development (R&D) programme. This can be done easily on site by skilled staff, or we can complete this final stage for you.
