Pâtisseries in Paris!

This week, our Director has been visiting France (not that we’re jealous…), but we’re glad to see that shipping container conversions are a worldwide love affair!

One of our most popular conversions is turning the simple shipping container into a cafe or catering unit – typically featuring a serving hatch (or two), electrics, personnel doors and wipe clean melamine lining (hygiene first!). These units are particularly useful for festivals or pop-up events where your cafe needs to be on-the-go! We specialise in small container cafe conversions, such as our Trudy Scrumptious Cafe in Devon, and the Hayling Island Fish and Chip shop. We also worked on the larger Hangar Bar now situated outside Manchester Airport, where excited travellers can enjoy a pre-flight drink outside. And we certainly don’t expect this trend to end anytime soon! Not only are shipping containers fully customisable, they’re a cost efficient option compared to a tradition cafe set up and a definite talking point!

This beautiful little cafe situated by the Gare de Lyon was part of a small group of pop-up units providing respite for travellers outside the station. Positioned to make the most of the beautiful surroundings, these units had plenty of outdoor seating available, making the perfect stop over to enjoy some sunshine before the next leg of his travels.

If you have any dreams of opening your own container cafe or catering unit, please give our Sales Team a call!
